Terms of Service & Liability Disclaimer

Please read these terms carefully. By posting a job, bidding, or using the SPECVision marketplace, you agree to the terms below.

The short version: SPECVision connects you with independent professionals. Once you choose a contractor, IT pro, or consultant, that professional — not SPECVision — is responsible for their own liability, insurance, the work itself, and all communications from that point forward. SPECVision is a marketplace facilitator, not a party to your service agreement.

1. SPECVision is a marketplace facilitator only

SPECVision Tech Solutions LLC operates an online marketplace that connects clients with independent audio-visual contractors, IT professionals, and technology consultants. SPECVision is NOT a contractor, an employer, a general contractor, a partner, an agent, or a joint venturer of any professional listed on this platform. We do not perform, supervise, guarantee, warrant, or insure any of the work, and we are not a party to any agreement between a client and a selected professional.

2. Independent professionals are solely responsible for their work

Every contractor, IT pro, and consultant on SPECVision is an independent business solely responsible for their own conduct. Each professional is independently responsible for maintaining their own liability insurance, workers' compensation, licenses, certifications, permits, warranties, workmanship, compliance with all applicable Massachusetts and local laws (including ABC contractor compliance), taxes, and the quality and safety of the work they perform. SPECVision does not verify insurance coverage amounts and does not guarantee any professional's performance.

3. SPECVision is released from liability once a professional is selected

Once a client selects a subcontractor, IT pro, or consultant through the marketplace, the client's relationship for that project is solely with the selected professional. From that point forward, the selected professional — not SPECVision — is solely responsible for the job, the work product, project outcomes, damages, delays, defects, site conditions, and all communications with the client. The client agrees that SPECVision Tech Solutions LLC, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates are released from and shall not be held liable for any claim, loss, damage, injury, cost, or expense arising out of or related to the selected professional's work, conduct, or communications.

4. Communications and project management happen outside SPECVision

SPECVision facilitates the initial connection and the standard bidding and contracting flow. After a professional is selected, all project communications, scheduling, project management, payments for the actual work, change orders, and dispute resolution take place directly between the client and the selected professional — not through or by SPECVision. Any tools, links, or integrations SPECVision may provide to help professionals manage projects with clients are provided for convenience only and do not make SPECVision a party to, or responsible for, that project.

5. No warranties; use at your own risk

The marketplace is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that a professional is fit for a particular purpose or that work will be completed satisfactorily. Clients and professionals use the platform at their own risk and are responsible for performing their own due diligence before entering into any agreement.

6. Indemnification

Clients and professionals each agree to indemnify and hold harmless SPECVision Tech Solutions LLC from any claim, demand, loss, or damages (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of their use of the marketplace or their relationship with the other party, including any work performed or communications exchanged after a professional is selected.
