How SPECVision keeps you safe
SPECVision is built to make hiring A/V and IT contractors trustworthy and low-risk. Here's exactly how we protect clients and contractors - from verified pros and locked contact details to transparent reviews and clear liability boundaries.
Verified contractors
Independent, certified pros
Every pro - a company or an individual subcontractor - is independent and responsible for their own state licenses, certifications, insurance, and compliance. You can review qualifications on each bid before you choose.
Your contact stays locked
It's your contact - the client's - that's protected. Your name, email, and phone are never shared until you award the job. Pros are already out marketing themselves; your privacy is what we guard.
Signed service contracts
When you choose a pro, they sign a standard service contract before work begins - a clear record of the agreed scope.
The review system
Clients rate completed work
After a job is completed, the client can leave a 1–5 star rating and written feedback. Reviews appear on the contractor's profile for future clients.
Reputation builds over time
Contractors earn trust through consistent, well-reviewed work. A strong rating helps them win more jobs - and helps you choose with confidence.
Safety guidelines
- Always review the contractor's certifications, reviews, and bid details before awarding.
- Keep all communication on SPECVision until the job is awarded and the contract is signed.
- Never pay a contractor outside the platform before the service contract is in place.
- Confirm the contractor carries their own insurance for your project type.
- Report any contractor who pressures you to bypass the platform to SPECVision support.
Liability - in plain terms
- SPECVision is a marketplace facilitator - we connect clients with independent pros (companies or individual subcontractors).
- Pros are independent and responsible for their own work, liability, insurance, and warranties.
- SPECVision does not employ, supervise, or guarantee the work of any pro.
- SPECVision charges a $15/month membership and a one-time lead fee per job ($19 to $1,000, scaled to the job's value) - we take no cut of what the client pays the pro for the work.
- For the full legal disclaimer, see our Terms of Service.
